Mrs. Prokopczuk's Spanish class
My name is Nelida Prokopczuk and I have the honor to be a part of this beautiful School Community this year and I am very excited about it. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.
I moved to the United States from Argentina 20 plus years ago with my beautiful family. I am married and I am proud mother of four children: three young boys in their twenties, and a nineteen year old beautiful daughter.
I studied and graduated with a Spanish Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in Argentina.
I worked in my native country for 12 years and earned Teacher of the Year three times during that tenure. In the US, I have also taught sixth grade Spanish Language, Literature and Social Studies in Spanish at La Escuela Argentina de los Angeles for 5 years. My last job was in Bell Tower School (Trilingual school) in Alhambra as a Teacher of first to fifth grade Multiple Subjects: Math, Science, Language and Social Studies in Spanish Language.
After 8 years of regularly attending the Water of Life Community Church, I fell in love with the ministry here. After finding out that they had a spot open for a Spanish Teacher position I was beyond excited and I felt as though God answered my prayers.
Teaching for me is not a simple profession instead it's a passion that I carry in my heart and is a part of my life. My goal as a teacher is to help each child achieve their goals as a student of Spanish by learning, speaking, writing and using Spanish correctly. I will encourage children to increase their vocabulary in Spanish so their desire to read in Spanish will grow.
If you need to reach me please email me at nelidap@wateroflifecs.org , and I will return your email as soon as possible, or meet me in person at school before or after school.
I am positive that we will have a wonderful and exciting time at Water of Life Christian School and I look forward to working together as a team with you and your child this year.
Blessings,
Nelida Prokopczuk.
